Hi Ben, thanks for sharing your experience. In fact, bed bugs were something I did not encounter with so many decades of bus travel so you don’t really have to worry. I think most locals here (Singaporeans and Malaysians) will take a coach instead of a plane as the destination stopped with a coach was more convenient for us.

Being left behind by the coach was an all-time stress that never goes away although it never happened to me. Most coach drivers are responsible, I believe as they always do a head count before driving away.

The scenery was something I like too when taking buses. Most drivers will stop you at some tourist’ shops in Malaysia to buy their local food products. You can get to try them too. This is one of my favourite parts of shopping for food at low prices 🙂

Hi Hai, nice that you have a positive experience with the bus ride to Malaysia. Sometimes, the journeys are indeed pleasant when the road condition is smooth and when you meet nice drivers.
